Reverend Nora Vedress

Nora obtained a BA from The University of Western Ontario and a Master of Divinity from Emmanuel College (UofT). She was ordained in May 2001 by Hamilton Conference. She was settled at Birch Hills, Crystal Springs, Kinistino Pastoral Charge and enjoyed four years of ministry with those amazing people. In 2005 Nora accepted a call to Calvary United Church. Nora has found in this church an open, caring, mission minded, humorous, and loving group of people with whom to work and serve. She has a passion for Worship and Pastoral Care as well as Youth and Young Adult Ministry. Nora lives in Prince Albert with her husband, Derek, and their 2 children.

Samantha Clayton - CE Minister

Sam was hired to work at Calvary in 2017. She has since started working toward Ordination within the United Church of Canada, studying for her MDiv with St. Andrew’s College.
Calvary is Sam's second family, full of warm, kind, accepting people. She was baptised and confirmed into the congregation as a young adult and is so happy to have the opportunity to work with all the families of this community of faith, and hopes to continue to learn and grow alongside everyone. Sam has a passion for Christian Ed across all generations, but has a special place in her heart for work with Youth as well as camping ministry, dedicating as much time as she can to supporting the board and staff at Camp Tapawingo.
Sam lives in Prince Albert with her husband, Chris, and their 4 children. When she isn’t studying, Sam and her family love to spend time dancing, taking part in outdoor winter sports, reading, playing board games, and traveling to Toronto to visit family.

Arthur Karakochuk - Administrative Assistant

Arthur started as the Administrative Assistant at Calvary in 2017. He hopes that anyone with questions or comments about what’s going on at Calvary United Church will feel welcome to call the office or stop in for a quick visit. He is happy to help.

He lives in Prince Albert with his wife, Kami, and their dog, Maisie. He loves to travel, go to the movies, and spend time with his family and friends.

Wendy Hoffman - Treasurer

Wendy spent 40+ yrs working as a legal assistant and bookkeeper in Prince Albert. She joined Calvary in 2017 as treasurer and loves working with the dedicated staff and volunteers that keep the church humming. Wendy and her husband, Blair, love to travel near and far. But most of all, they love spending time with their 3 kids and 9 awesome grandchildren!
